marami pa tayong bagay na hindi pa nalalaman sa bible, ang misteryo nito. nalaman ko na lang na si mark na isang evangelist na sumulat ng isa sa ebanghelyo ni Cristo ay anak pala ni apostol Pedro. magiing ang world war 2 ay hinulaan din, na sinasabi sa apocalipsis na pagkatapos ng ikapitong tatak ay nagkaroon sa langit ng may kalahating oras, ang first world war ay July 27, 1914 hanggang 1918 o 1919 ba? at ang WWII ay September 1939. ang 1000 years sa panahon kasi ng tao ay 1 day lang sa Diyos kukuwentahin natin. mayroong 24 hours sa isang araw, bale kukunin natin ang katumbas ng kalahating oras sa panahon ng Diyos conversion sa time ng tao. 1000 divided by 24 makukuha natin ang equivalent nun. basta, ensaktong-ensakto yun na 20 years , 10 months ang agwat. baka may iba pa akyong alam, idadagdag ko na lang ang alam ko.

Malugod ko pong binabati ang aking minamahal na religion na Iglesia Ni Cristo sa kanyang Ika-94th Anibersaryo kahapon, July 27.

Isa sa maituturing haligi at mahuhusay na dibuhista bsa kasaysayan ng ating komiks si Ka Nestor Geese Malgapo. Siya ay isa sa mga artist na hinahangaan ko.
Ito ang kanyang maikling pagkakakilanlan.

NESTOR MALGAPO was born in Barrio Baluarte, Gapan, Nueva Ecija. Impoverished at a young age, he sold comics to pay for his grade school education. He admired the many artists who worked on those comics, specially Francisco V. Coching, Nestor Redondo, Alfredo Alcala, Elpidio Torres, etc. (He never dreamed that one day he himself would be part of the comics he were selling.)

He finished high school with the distinction of being awarded "Artist of the Year". He was able to work immediately in Manila as a sign painter of billboards and passenger buses. He then worked as a stripper/cameraman for a printing press which had been printing Extra and Romansa Komiks. It was here he saw artist Felipe Ilag, working in the printing press trying to meet a deadline drawing "Asuwang", written by Mars Ravelo. This was Nestor's first exposure the professional world of comics illustration. He had believed that comics were drawn with the help of machines when in fact they were all drawn by hand, a fact that left quite an impact on him. From that time on, he decided that he too will be a comics illustrator.

Nestor made several sample drawings and shopped them around the comics companies. But because the art directors of those companies were very strict and exacting in their standards, it took Nestor a year of study and practice until he was finally given a break drawing "Walang Mukha" written by Tony Ma. Alcaraz for Sinderela Komiks. That was the start of what would be a long career in drawing comics for many different publications.

When Nestor showed sample drawings to PSG Publishing House, he was assigned a comics-novel right away with the script "Ikaw Pa Rin Ang Hahanapin", written by PSG publisher himself, Pablo S. Gomez. Nestor wondered if he could try working for other publishers so he tried sending samples to the editor in chief of Pilipino Komiks Inc. (which eventually became Atlas Publishing Corp.), Mars Ravelo. Ravelo gave him a break by letting him illustrate several short stories before granting him a whole novel entitled "Kaibigan Ko'ng Sto. Niño", written by A.S. Tenorio.

So impressed was Ravelo by Nestor's work that when Ravelo left Pilipino Komiks Inc. to establish RAR Publications, he brought Nestor with him to illustrate almost all the comics-novels he wrote here.

Prolific, Nestor was also able to work with Clodualdo del Mundo at Liwayway Publications, Tony Velasquez at Graphic Arts Service, as well as G. Miranda & Sons Publications and Rex Publications, and literally almost every other existing publication at the time.

In the 1970's, comics illustrators organized to form HAND (Huwarang Akbayan ng mga Nagkakaisang Dibuhista) in response to unfair working conditions, primary of these were being underpaid. Nestor was one of those who founded the organization and served as president in the 10 years of the group's existence. HAND was able to champion the cause of the illustrators and resulted in beneficial priviledges and recognition from the publishers the importance of the comics illustrators to the industy. The success of HAND resulted in the formation of the UAP or the United Artists of the Philippines, a much larger organization with a much larger membership encompassing writers, illustrators, letterers as well as colorsists.

Nestor became president of the SPIC or the Society of Philippine Illustrators and Cartoonists after Nestor Redondo relinquished his position as president when he left to work in the United States.

When DC Comics publisher Carmine Infantino and and Editor Joe Orlando arrived in the Philippines accompanied by Tony DeZuniga in the 70's to look for talents to work for DC, Nestor was one of only eight hired to work as penciller/inkers. Nestor worked on some of the many mystery titles DC were currently publishing including Ghosts, House Of Mystery, The Unexpected and GI Combat. He was also able to ink Teen Titans, as well as Neal Adams' Megalith for Continuity Comics.

Nestor tried to study animation as well. He became layout artist for Island Animation headed by fellow illustrator Abe Ocampo.

Nestor established the Dynacoil Home Study Art School, an art correspondence school, to help young Filipinos and the out of school youth to develop their interest in art. Comics Illustration is just one among the many art courses that the school teaches. Many of those who have studied under Nestor have found success in many aspects of art, specially in the field of animation here and abroad.

Nestor learned to write comics scripts as well, and he has been able to draw many of his own stories in Atlas and ACE Publications.

Nestor is currently serving as a design supervisor for the local television channel of a religious organization.

Bilang comics writer at artist,ako'y isa rin pong cartoonist (yabang ano po!) at natutuwa ako't nagkaroon ng aklat na nagsama-sama ng lahat ng magagaling na kartunista sa ating bansa.
Nagkaroon ng book launching, sayang wala ako roon. Nanghihinayang ako.

Dumaan ako sa book launching ng 'Samahang Kartunista ng Pilipinas Roster Book' na ginanap sa National Press Club, Intramuros, Manila. Dinaluhan ito ng mga miyembro ng SKP at mga kaibigan sa media. Kasama ring dumalo ang tanyag na international comics historian na si Prof. John A. Lent.

Mabuti na lang pala at nakadalo ako dahil hindi ipinagbibili ang libro ng SKP kaya hindi ito magiging available sa mga bookstores.

Prophecies of Nostradamus on World War III

Those studying the Prophecies of Nostradamus say that he has indicated the possibility of a Third World War. Indeed, in some of his quatrains he mentions terrifying battles and events occurring in and around Europe, Asia and Africa which do not seem to have happened till date. There is, however, a difference of opinion among the experts about the overall sequence of these events and most of all, their timing.

My approach to deciphering the quatrains is based on the assumption that if a world wide war of this magnitude indeed takes place, it must have been mentioned in prophecies written in various religious texts and prophecies of non-religious nature which are part of the folklore of different cultures. I believe that a comparative study of all such prophecies vis-à-vis those of Nostradamus, along with insights into the local culture, tradition, history etc. may enable us to construct a more detailed picture of the prophesized events than what is possible by studying an individual prophecy in isolation. Most of these prophecies concentrate on the local perspective of a global war. But by finding out the similarities with other prophecies, we can find the global connection of the local events.

Contrary to what many of us think, prophesized events are neither inevitable nor are their time of occurrence fixed. A prophesized event is the one which is most likely to happen. It is merely one of the several possibilities. Similarly, even if an event takes place, its timing is not fixed. The deciding factor is the human free will. Collective human free will can alter an event, change its timing or even stop it entirely. Some events are hard to change for it requires a collective decision moving away entirely from the "logical" course. Sometimes, even an individual's decision may alter an event having wide implications. Most affected by human free will is the timing of an event. While collective human behavior is hard to change, the time of the event taking place changes according to collective or individual decisions. Some prophecies do indicate a timing of the war, not in terms of the exact date but by mentioning the appearance of certain signs like a specific astrological conjunction or an event preceding the war.

Broadly speaking, the various prophecies indicate that the Third World War will be preceded by an unprecedented increase in large-scale natural calamities all over the world like big earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, famines etc. Localized wars, revolutions, political disturbances and large scale terrorist attacks will increase. Assassinations of high profile leaders will take place and tensions between various countries will rise. The economies of various countries will be severely affected, leading to unemployment or inflation. The actual war would be of a short duration but is said to be several times more destructive in terms of the cost of human lives and property than all the previous world wars taken together.

To summarize what I have analyzed in this site, based on various prophecies, the Third World War would start when Russia suddenly attacks Europe in coalition with certain Middle Eastern countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Libya and probably China. Prior to the World War III, USA would be severely crippled by terrorist attacks, assassinations, a civil war and an economic collapse. Prior to that, there would be a civil war in Italy, during which the Vatican would be overrun by the mob. The Pope would escape but many of his cardinals would die. The palace and the chapels would be burnt down. While on the run, the Pope would be captured and killed. There would be a schism in the Vatican and three Popes would reign at the same time, propped up by competing powers. Supported by US and other catholic countries, the Papacy would be shifted elsewhere and a "true" Pope would be elected there. Europe would be almost overrun by the Russian and eastern forces and many of its cities and also those of USA would be destroyed by conventional weapons as well as weapons of mass destruction like nuclear, chemical and biological weapons. Russia would attack from the North as well as from the East of Europe. An Arab / Iranian army would attack from the south. The Pope, and later the British Prime Minister would be forced to flee to the US. Paris would be destroyed by "revolutionaries" within France. The attack on the US would stop the Civil War there. New types of weapons, like Chemical Weapons and particularly what appears to be portable Laser weapons, would be used in the war. At the same time an unprecedented disaster would take place. A comet would suddenly appear over the earth in the peak of the war, would break into several pieces and fall to the earth. Smaller pieces would rain fire on cities and forests all over the world, burning them down. A large piece would fall into the sea creating a Tsunami of Biblical proportions, flooding parts of Europe (including Britain), USA and Africa. One medium sized chunk would fall on land, creating a huge crater, resulting in earthquake and volcano activities all over the world. This event would loosen the grip of the invading army over Europe. A joint coalition of US and European forces under the leadership of a charismatic leader "Chiren" would organize a counter-attack against the invading forces in Europe and elsewhere. The Russian forces in Europe would be almost destroyed by the counter-attack and this would lead to a revolution in Russia and the Russian leader who started the war would be assassinated. Russia, under a new leader would then join the western coalition and fight against its former allies, who would eventually be defeated. The Pope would return to Europe and Chiren would be crowned the Monarch. Peace would return to the world after a loss of almost two-thirds of its population and the wealth of nations accumulated over millennia. But this would surely not be the end of the world.

It is hard to understand at this stage why Russia would suddenly attack Europe. Yet, most of the prophecies seem to agree on this part. Logically too, it is only Russia which has the capability to take on the might of USA and Europe, even after the break up of its empire. It still has sufficient nuclear weapons, technology and manpower to do so. The overall picture of the events leading to the World War is not clear. What appears from some prophecies is that immediately preceding the war, Russia would have tensions with the west over some Middle Eastern affair. But the actual war would begin after the assassination of a political leader in the Balkan area, who could be the famous "Mabus" often discussed in the context of Nostradamus's prophecies. The Russian attack might be a result of its perception that the assassination, probably in one of its friendly countries, could be a prelude to an western invasion and the best way would be to pre-empt it. A major terrorist attack on the US, assassination of some world leaders and another war in the Middle East may precede the Third World War, apart from numerous natural disasters. Some prophecies say that before the 3rd World War, Israel would grant statehood to Palestine. Then oil would be discovered there and a war would start between Israel and Palestine. It is probable that it is this war that would generate tensions between USA and Russia, since US and Russian fleets are said to confront each other in a tense standoff in the Mediterranean before the war in yet another prophecy. The Bible and the Islamic texts also mention Iraq. It is said that the river Euphrates would dry up and something would be discovered in its dried up riverbed, which would cause much tension among nations. There are also prophecies on the destruction of the Al-Aqsa Mosque / Temple Mount in Jerusalem before the war and the death of Saddam Hussein in US custody even before his trial begins.

Why does the Middle East dominate the headlines so often? One obvious answer is oil, the lifeblood of modern economies. Without oil to run factories, heat homes, fuel transportation and provide energy and raw materials for thousands of uses, the economies of many nations would grind to a halt. The crucial importance of oil alone ensures that the Middle East will remain in the headlines for years.

But there's more that keeps the Middle East in the news. It is the birthplace of the world's three great monotheistic religions—Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Too often it has not been just their birthplace, but their battlefield, with adherents warring against each other for control of territory they consider holy.

Nowhere are these conflicts more obvious than in Israel, and specifically in Jerusalem. It's hard to imagine how so much history, religion and culture can collide and stand in literal heaps. Nowhere is this more evident than at the Temple Mount, flash point for many a conflict over the centuries.

Today one can watch Muslims praying at the Dome of the Rock atop the Temple Mount, Jews praying at the Western Wall barely a stone's throw below and Christians praying along the Via Dolorosa and at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher a few hundred yards to the north and west. And all around one sees the rubble of the centuries of conflict over this holy place.

Who will write the next chapter in the history of this troubled city? Believe it or not, the final chapters are already written—prophesied centuries ago in the pages of the Bible. Ominously, they mesh remarkably well with today's headlines.

All of the earths beliefs and traditions, based upon biblical scripture and other writings in the Jewish and Christian religions, such as fundamentalist Protestantism, Orthodox Christianity, and Orthodox Judaism, expect the literal renewal of Jerusalem to some day take place at the Temple Mount in accordance with various biblical prophecies. Dispensationalists believe in a literal New Jerusalem coming down from God out of Heaven, which will be an entirely new city of incredible dimensions. Still other sects, such as, various Protestant denominations, Mormonism, and modernist branches of Christianity and reform Judaism, view the New Jerusalem as figurative, or believe that such a renewal may have already taken place, or that it will take place at some other location besides the Temple Mount.
